TRAVEL to TURKEY

The island of Lesvos is quite close to the Aegean coast of Turkey. Day trips are possible from Mytilene to the harbors of the cities of both Ayvalik and Dikeli.   Also, it is possible to make arrangements from Ayvalik to visit other places in Turkey, and two and three day programs are available through agencies in Mytilene.

Ferries run daily in the summer high season, and several times weekly during the winter months. 

We will be happy to help you arrange tickets at one of the agencies which handles the bookings for the ferries to Turkey.  Usually, at least one day prior notice is necessary, with complete passport details, to be included on the daily departure list.
