BANKS, ATMs, CURRENCY EXCHANGE & CREDIT CARDS

All of the major cities and towns on Lesvos have banks with ATM facilities.  The closest to Vatera is at the Commercial Bank in Polichnitos, just 5 kilometers from here.  There is also an ATM of the National Bank near the central square in Polichnitos.

Greece, as a member of the European Union, uses the Euro as its currency, as do most of the other countries in Europe. The Hotel VATERA BEACH has been officially approved by the Bank of Greece to perform currency exchange, at the official daily bank rates, for guests with other currencies.

While the use of credit cards is not widespread as yet on Lesvos, and we suggest using cash while you are going around, at the Hotel VATERA BEACH we can accept your VISA, Mastercard, or American Express credit cards for accommodation and other payments.
